This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.
• Conduct Virtual Premium Audits: Thoroughly review policyholders’ business records in a timely manner. Establish appropriate risk classification, premium basis, and operational scope to guarantee precise premium adjustments.
• Create Detailed Audit Worksheets: Gather financial documents and utilize audit software to produce clear and comprehensive worksheets that reconcile payroll and tax reports.
• Research and Implement Guidelines: Employ NCCI manuals, internal policies, and external resources to ensure accurate classifications and adherence to regulations.
• Identify and Report Changes: Record any unusual exposures or alterations affecting premiums and refer such items to Underwriting for clarification.
• Oversee Audit Workflow: Schedule appointments independently, follow up, and maintain progress reports to monitor audit status.
• Consult with Policyholders: Clearly explain audit outcomes and fundamental insurance principles, building understanding and trust.
• Foster Relationships: Respond promptly and professionally to both internal and external stakeholders, addressing issues effectively.
• Pursue Professional Development: Stay updated on state determinations, NCCI updates, and engage in corporate training and peer collaboration.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Licenses: A valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience: 1–2 years in premium auditing, accounting, or related insurance roles.
