This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Oversee a team of Quality Control Employees engaged in a variety of quality control activities.
• Manage the workflow of pipeline and pre-funding audits for both the Retail Lending and Correspondent Lending Non-Delegated Channels.
• Relay results and offer feedback regarding pre-funding audits to the respective Channels.
• Address rebuttals regarding findings and aid in the formulation of action plans.
• Supervise the execution of action plans.
• Provide active leadership to the team to guarantee maximum quality and productivity.
• Detect opportunities and promote enhancements to processes and systems.
• Maintain a robust understanding of Agency and Regulatory standards.
• Offer support and guidance to the QC Staff.
• Conduct pre-funding audit reviews as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Operations to address quality-related issues.
• Lead and nurture a team, including responsibilities for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Mortgage Industry or a similar sector.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is mandatory.
• Previous leadership experience is essential.
• Advanced understanding of the residential mortgage sector within Correspondent or Retail Lending.
• Advanced to expert comprehension of regulatory and legal compliance requirements.
• Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven knowledge of mortgage lending operations and the industry.
• Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.
• Advanced expertise in fraud detection.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
