This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Develop, enhance, and deliver strategic communication plans that are in line with business goals.
• Implement comprehensive PR strategies for B2B clients across both earned and owned channels, including media outreach, press releases, bylines, analyst briefings, and award submissions.
• Establish and nurture robust media relationships within trade, business, and technology press relevant to our clients' Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs).
• Create engaging narratives and pitches that secure significant coverage in key publications that appeal to B2B buyers.
• Assist with executive positioning initiatives, which encompass media training, thought leadership content, podcast placements, speaking engagements, and bylined articles.
• Support influencer and practitioner briefing initiatives, including analyst relations and partnerships with creators aligned to ICPs.
• Contribute to organic social media strategy and content as part of integrated communication efforts, when appropriate.
• Leverage media and social monitoring tools to observe trends, pinpoint emerging issues, and identify opportunities.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on program performance in relation to established KPIs, linking PR activities to tangible business outcomes such as share of voice and pipeline influence.
• Work collaboratively across different service lines within Directive to ensure communication strategies align with the broader client objectives.
• Participate in new business proposals and client presentations as a subject matter expert.
• 4–7 years of experience in public relations and communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by a touch of creativity.
• Previous agency experience is mandatory; experience in B2B or B2B technology is highly preferred.
• Proven history of securing significant media coverage.
• Strong media connections and the ability to establish new ones swiftly.
• Practical experience with executive thought leadership initiatives: bylines, podcasts, speaking engagements, and contributed content.
• Capacity to distill complex B2B narratives into clear, compelling pitches and stories.
• Up-to-date with industry news and trends across media and social platforms.
• Comfortable utilizing AI tools to enhance research, targeting, and workflows.
• Willingness to travel for client visits as necessary.
• Commitment to continually enhancing PR skills through proactive self-education.
• A bachelor's degree in public relations or communications is preferred.
