This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop, enhance, and deliver strategic communication plans that align with business goals.
• Implement integrated public relations strategies for B2B clients across both earned and owned media channels, including media outreach, press releases, bylines, analyst briefings, and award nominations.
• Establish and nurture strong media connections across trade, business, and technology outlets relevant to our clients' ideal customer profiles (ICPs).
• Create engaging narratives and pitches that secure significant coverage in the publications that are influential to B2B purchasers.
• Assist in executive positioning initiatives which encompass media training, thought leadership content, podcast placements, speaking engagements, and contributed articles.
• Support influencer and practitioner briefing initiatives, including analyst relations and partnerships with creators aligned to ICPs.
• Contribute to organic social media strategy and content as part of integrated communication initiatives, when applicable.
• Leverage media and social monitoring tools to observe trends, identify emerging issues, and discover new opportunities.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on program performance based on established KPIs, linking PR activities to tangible business results such as share of voice and pipeline impact.
• Collaborate across various service lines within Directive to ensure that communication programs align with broader client strategies.
• Play a key role in developing new business proposals and client presentations as a subject matter expert.
• 4–7 years of experience in public relations and communications.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with an emphasis on creativity.
• Prior agency experience is essential; experience in B2B or B2B technology is highly preferred.
• Proven history of securing significant media coverage.
• Strong media relationships coupled with the capability to quickly establish new ones.
• Practical experience with executive thought leadership initiatives: bylines, podcasts, speaking opportunities, and contributed content.
• Proficient in translating complex B2B narratives into concise, impactful pitches and stories.
• Informed about industry news and trends across both media and social platforms.
• Comfortable utilizing AI tools to enhance research, targeting, and workflows.
• Willingness to travel for client visits as required.
• Committed to enhancing PR expertise through proactive self-directed learning.
• Bachelor's degree in public relations or communications is preferred.
