• Provide support for distributed generation and interconnection planning, including screening, system impact assessments, and mitigation alternatives for generators, batteries, and behind-the-meter resources.
• Aid in the development and enhancement of member distributed generation processes by establishing repeatable engineering criteria, standard operating procedures, data requirements, timelines, and templates.
• Oversee reliability and system modernization planning, encompassing feeder enhancement concepts, device strategies (reclosers, sectionalizers, distribution automation devices), and integration considerations for SCADA and field automation.
• Collaborate with member teams to translate reliability objectives (e.g., SAIDI/SAIFI) into prioritized, fundable project portfolios and operational improvements.
• Assist in wildfire risk mitigation planning by aligning engineering strategies with risk reduction outcomes and coordinating with internal advisory resources and external partners as necessary.
