Power Platform Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Oversee software architecture, solution design, and technical decision-making for applications on the Power Platform.

• Create and deploy solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages.

• Design and set up integrations between Power Platform components and Azure Managed MS SQL databases, Azure Blob Storage, and various file storage solutions.

• Work in collaboration with Power Platform administrators to establish authentication and security measures using Azure Active Directory and Office 365.

• Engage in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Provide guidance to development teams in coding, testing, deployment, and support functions.

• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Power Apps and Power Pages.

• Produce and maintain technical architecture and system documentation.

• Mentor and assist junior developers while facilitating the transfer of technical knowledge.

• Ensure that applications adhere to accessibility standards, including ADA and WCAG 2.1 compliance.

• Advocate for DevOps best practices and assist in automated build and deployment processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing Microsoft Power Apps (both model-driven and canvas applications).

• Practical experience with Power Automate and Power Pages.

• Background in Agile/product development environments.

• Experience in integrating and managing various data sources, formats, and structures.

• Proven experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Familiarity with Azure Government Cloud services and Azure Active Directory.

• Proficient in designing applications that offer responsive and multilingual user experiences.

• Experience in writing technical documentation and architecture artifacts.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in mentoring development teams (preferred).

• Background in gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions (preferred).

• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization platforms (preferred).

• Familiarity with implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (preferred).
