Power BI Developer, SQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain intricate SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions to facilitate data transformation and reporting requirements.

• Build, manage, and support ETL workflows based on SSIS to integrate data from various source systems.

• Develop and sustain Power BI Paginated Reports, including those that are parameterized, scheduled, and ready for distribution.

• Create engaging Power BI dashboards and reports with a focus on data modeling, relationships, and advanced DAX calculations.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI and reporting solutions.

• Ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of data across all BI assets.

• Optimize and fine-tune SQL queries, ETL processes, and reports to enhance performance and scalability.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, adhere to coding standards, and follow best practices for version control.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the ongoing improvement of BI processes and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or similar roles.

• Strong proficiency in SQL development, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

• Documented experience in ETL development, ideally using SSIS or comparable data integration tools.

• Practical experience with Power BI (covering both Paginated Reports and Interactive Dashboards), including data modeling, DAX, and report publishing.

• A solid grasp of data warehousing concepts, data modeling (star/snowflake schema), and data transformation techniques.

• Experience working with various data sources (databases, APIs, flat files, etc.) and integrating them into reporting solutions.

• Familiarity with performance optimization for queries, ETL pipelines, and BI reports.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and compliance with coding and documentation standards.

• A strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot data-related issues.

• Experience in Agile or fast-paced project environments with multiple stakeholders.
