This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
⢠Perform thorough legal research and monitor legislative developments at federal, state, and local levels that impact public safety technology.
⢠Compose and evaluate communications intended for customers, elected officials, and stakeholders in public safety.
⢠Collaborate with Legal, External Affairs, and Communications teams to ensure messaging aligns with regulatory requirements.
⢠Examine new privacy and public safety legislative trends to aid in compliance strategy formulation.
⢠Create policy position documents to effectively navigate regulations surrounding public safety technology and reduce business risks.
⢠Maintain a balance between legal accuracy and policy perspective to foster transparency and trust.
⢠Proven ability to conduct accurate legal research.
⢠Capability to analyze legislative proposals and monitor regulatory changes.
⢠Strong history of cross-functional collaboration with legal, communications, and external affairs teams.
⢠Demonstrated skill in reviewing and refining high-stakes communications with meticulous attention to detail and policy awareness.
⢠Advanced analytical abilities to convert complex statutory requirements into clear, actionable recommendations.
⢠Educational background in law or public policy.
⢠Experience in government, legal, or policy-oriented settings is preferred.
⢠Eligibility to work legally in the United States.
⢠Ability to comply with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification requirements if necessary, including adherence to FBI CJIS Security Policy and completion of a fingerprint-based background check.
⢠Starting base salary ranging from $133,000 to $185,000.
