This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Draft and file necessary forms, ensuring compliance with system and regulatory standards as well as organizational guidelines.
• Develop business requirements and conduct user acceptance testing for form-related product modifications throughout the product revision process until production.
• Perform UAT (user acceptance testing) to ensure that specific changes are functioning as intended for form modifications.
• Evaluate content, format appropriately, and coordinate references to related forms.
• Aid in the creation of policy form language as required.
• Investigate and assess state insurance laws, regulations, bulletins, and the offerings of competitors.
• Execute form modifications accurately and promptly to ensure compliance and provide competitive products in the marketplace.
• Review claim files and collaborate with various claims team members to ensure adherence to policy guidelines and limitations.
• Track claim activity and loss ratios to identify emerging trends.
• Engage in new product research and development as necessary.
• Audit production post-deployment of system updates for all policy forms throughout the policy life cycle.
• Conduct coverage analysis for underwriting, product teams, and carriers when addressing urgent market issues.
• Assist with manual editing of forms for tickets lacking immediate fixes, executing manual updates when necessary.
• Support recoveries of policies when issues are identified within the system.
• Create business requirements and presentations to facilitate user training and system implementation.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in personal lines, homeowner’s product development, commercial lines, underwriting, claims, or a related field.
• Experience in drafting language for policy forms and endorsements is advantageous.
• High level of familiarity with ISO forms commonly utilized in homeowners, dwelling fire, or commercial residential programs is a plus; ability to quickly learn the language.
• Demonstrated capability to conduct testing of product rules and form revisions through the UAT cycle is beneficial.
• Experience in coordinating and maintaining relevant compliance documentation for product revisions.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently, often under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with team members, company leadership, carrier partners, agents, and regulators.
• Competent in establishing and executing a product plan that includes timelines, metrics, and quality standards.
• Proficient in Word, Adobe, Nitro, and Excel.
• Exceptional research skills.
• Previous experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
