This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana, +4 more states.
• Accountable for delivering comprehensive project management for broadband/telecom and/or electric energy initiatives.
• Oversee the planning and execution of projects ranging from small to medium scale.
• Proactively advance projects by identifying potential challenges at an early stage and implementing effective solutions.
• Anticipate and manage risks while ensuring that mitigation strategies are established.
• Adopt a consultative approach with clients, recognizing their pain points and collaborating on effective solutions.
• Take ownership of project scope and delivery, ensuring clear understanding of expectations and deliverables.
• Manage financial components by tracking budgets, overseeing invoicing, and evaluating the impact of changes to project scope.
• Facilitate collaboration across functions to ensure seamless coordination between teams.
• Lead communication with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely dissemination of updates.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the telecom/broadband, electric, energy, utilities (transmission), or construction sectors.
• Demonstrated capability to independently lead and manage multiple projects from initiation through to closure.
• Strong grasp and application of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience in client engagement, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Ability to proactively identify risks and challenges within projects and develop strategic solutions accordingly.
• Proficient in the financial management aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost control, invoicing, and tracking key performance indicators.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Excel, and Teams.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Capability to mentor and coach junior project managers.
• Adaptability to change, with the drive to lead and manage projects effectively.
