Platform Engineer – IDP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance our Internal Developer Platform to optimize development and deployment processes.

• Design and improve platform components to guarantee reliability, scalability, security, and user-friendliness.

• Provision, monitor, and manage infrastructure across various cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Automate infrastructure provisioning, testing, deployment, and configuration using CI/CD and scripting techniques.

• Collaborate with software engineers, operations, security, and platform teams to identify needs and provide effective solutions.

• Implement and uphold security best practices, including access management, encryption, and compliance measures.

• Ensure monitoring and observability, delivering logs, metrics, and troubleshooting tools to teams.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for platform tools, processes, and standards.

• Assist in resolving incidents related to platform functionality.

• Continuously investigate new technologies and enhancements to minimize technical debt and improve the developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience or strong familiarity with developing and maintaining an Internal Developer Platform (IDP).

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in DevOps (automation, CI/CD, reliability, tooling).

• Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform (preferably GCP).

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.

• Programming skills in at least one language (Python, Go, Java, C++, Bash, JavaScript, TypeScript).

• Solid understanding of networking and Linux administration.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• English proficiency at a minimum of B2 level.

• Capability to leverage AI tools and large language models (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to boost productivity, accelerate development, and solve complex issues.

• Ability to critically assess AI-generated outputs and utilize them responsibly within professional workflows.
