Platform Engineer, Gen AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain the foundational infrastructure for the AI-Assisted SDLC Platform utilizing Infrastructure as Code, ensuring optimal availability and scalability for all agent interactions.

• Develop the production implementation, overseeing the state, context, and human-approval checkpoints among the various SDLC agents.

• Establish critical integration points for our developers, including backend services for the VS Code extension and webhooks to facilitate seamless GitHub pull request workflows.

• Take ownership of the platform, guaranteeing automated, secure, and efficient delivery of new features and infrastructure updates.

• Collaborate with LLM Engineers and software teams to convert intricate requirements for agent communication into a robust and scalable technical architecture, refining based on real-world usage.

• Integrate the platform with essential enterprise systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a full-stack or backend engineer, with mastery in Python and familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Solid, hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Demonstrated success in designing, building, and managing CI/CD pipelines for production systems.

• Experience in building or operating Platform as a Service (PaaS) or large-scale distributed systems within an enterprise setting.

• Understanding of applications powered by LLMs.

• Experience in architecting and developing developer tools, IDE extensions (such as those for VS Code), or GitHub Apps.

• Experience in creating stateful, real-time web applications using technologies like WebSockets or Server-Side Events to facilitate live IDE interactions.

• Proven experience in designing and developing LLM-powered agents and multi-step agentic workflows, particularly for code generation or analysis.

• Professional fluency in Japanese, both in writing and speaking.
