Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Implement automation tools and frameworks such as CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with software developers and other IT personnel to oversee code releases.

• Manage cloud environments while adhering to the company's security protocols.

• Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, including system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.

• Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to identify issues and respond proactively to incidents.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate problems.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to advocate, mentor, and provide solutions regarding best practices in automation, reliability, and security.

• Remain current on the latest DevOps technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a DevOps role, managing deployments and ensuring the reliability of a large-scale platform.

• Strong expertise with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CircleCI.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud services, including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.

• Proven ability to efficiently analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

• Capacity to make decisions, prioritize tasks, and work independently based on high-level business objectives.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to clarify protocols and processes to team members and management.

• A strong desire to learn and stay updated on industry trends, IT operations, and best practices, with the ability to identify those worth implementing.
