Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• In the role of Platform Engineer, you will engage closely with the infrastructure layer.

• The position emphasizes automation, integration, and platform services that interface with both physical and virtual infrastructures, storage solutions, networking, and lifecycle management tools.

• This is not merely a traditional DevOps role.

• We seek engineers who possess a deep understanding of infrastructure and can also contribute to automation, Python-based services, agents, or integrations.

• You will collaborate with backend/API developers and infrastructure experts to facilitate provisioning, lifecycle automation, and secure access to platform functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A robust background in infrastructure engineering within data centers, hosting, cloud, or platform environments.

• Hands-on experience with Linux, server provisioning, and infrastructure automation.

• Competent scripting or development skills, ideally in Python.

• Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, and integration with infrastructure tools.

• Proficient in using Git, CI/CD, and automation workflows.

• Capability to work closely with infrastructure and comprehend the operational implications of automation.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities.

• A senior ownership mentality and the capacity to document technical decisions.

• Experience in bare metal provisioning, PXE/iPXE, boot order management, firmware, or BMC/IPMI/Redfish.

• Background in storage platforms, block/file storage, NVMe over Ethernet, or RoCE.

• Experience with Kubernetes operators or integrations related to Kubernetes infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Nautobot, NetBox, or CMDB/source-of-truth tools.

• Experience in constructing Python microservices or agents that interact with infrastructure APIs.

• Knowledge of multi-tenant environments, RBAC, and secure infrastructure access frameworks.

• Experience with high-performance computing, GPU-intensive infrastructure, or large-scale platform environments.
