Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product engineering teams to determine system requirements.

• Develop and maintain our cloud-based microservices framework.

• Streamline routine processes and remediation activities through automation.

• Create, oversee, and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the systems in scope.

• Anticipate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that arise from support personnel, other engineering teams, and our automated monitoring systems.

• Ensure the health and optimal performance of our data stores.

• Contribute to the development and culture of our engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in infrastructure, operations, or software engineering.

• Familiarity with cloud providers such as GCP.

• Expertise in configuration management tools like Terraform and Ansible.

• Practical experience with modern monitoring tools, including Prometheus and Grafana.

• Knowledge of distributed data stores such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and ElasticSearch.

• Understanding of distributed event stores and stream-processing platforms, specifically Apache Kafka.

• Proficiency in scripting languages, with a preference for Python and Bash.

• Strong technical capabilities across various infrastructure technologies.

• Experience in operating and supporting production systems within a Linux and public cloud environment.

• Proven ability to mentor and support team members.

• Capability to decompose complex tasks into manageable components.

• Excellent communication skills and a history of fostering strong relationships with colleagues and leadership.

• Proficient in English.
