Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage the internal developer platform and self-service tools that enhance delivery for engineering teams.

• Take ownership of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation; enhance build reliability, speed, and developer self-service capabilities.

• Utilize infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform) to provision, secure, and scale cloud and Kubernetes environments.

• Implement and manage observability: including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting; respond to incidents and service requests.

• Strengthen platforms and manage risk: establish security baselines and vulnerability management (SecOps) while optimizing cloud expenditure with cost guardrails and reporting (FinOps).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of professional experience.

• Understanding of cloud fundamentals (GCP/AWS/Azure).

• Strong foundation in Linux, containers, and basic knowledge of Kubernetes operations.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Familiarity with configuration management.

• Proficient in Git and code review processes.

• Knowledge of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).

• Experience with packaging, artifact, and release pipelines.

• Skills in scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Bash).

• Ability to troubleshoot across operating systems, network, and applications.

• Experience with observability (monitoring, logging, tracing).

• Knowledge of incident response/on-call and reliability practices.

• Understanding of security fundamentals (IAM, least privilege, vulnerability management, secrets).

• Awareness of FinOps (cost optimization, budgeting/guardrails).

• Strong documentation and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with the fundamentals of Agentic AI as it pertains to Platform Engineering.
