This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and construct the organizational data infrastructure and architecture.

• Collaborate with business leaders and domain owners to convert strategic priorities into data architecture capabilities.

• Provide insights regarding evolving database and datalake storage and usage requirements for the organization, while offering solution recommendations.

• Set standards for data platforms, integrations, analytics, and AI enablement.

• Analyze methods of database and datalake implementation to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable external regulations.

• Support organizational decisions regarding data infrastructure and architecture on a continuous basis, and determine data strategy.

• Serve as a trusted advisor on how data architecture facilitates revenue generation, efficiency, and risk mitigation, while guiding leadership on data investment choices.

• Supervise the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.

• Apply architectural principles, product-specific guidelines, security standards, and usability design standards as necessary.

• Influence decision-making among multiple stakeholders and assist engineering teams in overcoming complex technical challenges.

• Propel the expansion of analytics and AI services by incorporating scalable design patterns into every engagement.

• Provide thought leadership, reusable assets, and frameworks to enhance scalability across the Data & AI practice.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in data platform architecture, analytics, or AI/ML.

• Proven experience in converting business requirements into technical design documentation.

• Experience in architecting and securing big data solutions.

• Familiarity with Azure.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Understanding of data movement and ETL processes.

• Knowledge of data governance and metadata management tools.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate with an international team.

• Preferred experience in building data lakes.

• Preferred experience in developing data products.

• Skilled in team leadership and stakeholder management.

• Familiarity with Databricks, Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Functions.

• Strategic thinker with a strong focus on execution.

• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
