Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and develop foundational cloud-native platforms on GCP.

• Create reusable templates for data storage, access control, and environment setups.

• Facilitate self-service onboarding for data teams.

• Integrate Okta with GCP IAM and Snowflake.

• Implement Single Sign-On (SSO), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and least privilege access methodologies.

• Automate user provisioning and lifecycle management processes.

• Enforce PII tagging, masking, and column-level security protocols.

• Collaborate with BigQuery policy tags and Snowflake tagging systems.

• Ensure compliance, governance, and auditability across platforms.

• Automate provisioning, access control, and metadata management tasks.

• Utilize Terraform, Python, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines in development.

• Monitor platform usage, access, and data quality metrics.

• Build mechanisms for alerting, logging, and auditing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Data Engineering or Platform roles.

• At least 3 years of experience with cloud-based data platforms.

• Proficiency in GCP, specifically BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), and IAM.

• Experience with Snowflake, including RBAC, governance, and performance tuning.

• Knowledge of BigQuery features such as policy tags, partitioning, and external tables.

• Familiarity with Okta for SSO, federation, and lifecycle management.

• Strong skills in Python, SQL, and Terraform.

• Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Bitbucket.
