This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish enduring relationships with potential planned giving donors, primarily through voice interactions, with occasional in-person donor engagement.
• Initiate, nurture, and expand fundraising efforts with dedicated donors whose capacity for giving starts at $10,000 and above.
• Assess higher-level leads and cultivate donor connections for referrals to Planned Giving Directors.
• Manage and support World Vision Legacy Society donors to enhance retention rates.
• Mentor Planned Giving Officers in the skills necessary to cultivate and maintain a pipeline of planned gifts.
• Assist in furthering our Christian organization's mission, vision, and strategies.
• Accountable for fostering relationships and nurturing loyal donors to achieve an annual fundraising target of at least $1,500,000 in planned giving commitments.
• Exhibit knowledge of planned giving methods, including wills, living trusts, and charitable gift annuities.
• Interact with high-value leads and donors mainly through voice communication to foster planned gifts.
• Engage with World Vision Legacy Society donors through regular communications (such as phone calls, face-to-face meetings, and personal written correspondence) to enhance retention of constituents.
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the constituent CRM.
• Provide support to other Planned Giving Officers on effective donor engagement and relationship cultivation that leads to planned gifts for World Vision US via telephone interactions.
• Identify when complex donor inquiries should be referred to other team members and facilitate "warm handoffs" as necessary.
• A two-year degree or equivalent work experience (four years); a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of five years of work experience is required, including at least three years of successful sales/fundraising experience in a phone or face-to-face setting, with a proven track record of guiding prospects through the sales cycle to secure large gifts.
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend and articulate financial tools and concepts is essential.
• Completion of at least one course in planned giving is highly desirable.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A for any employer.
