Piping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct piping engineering calculations to facilitate system design, modifications, and changes within the plant.

• Assess alterations to current power plants alongside new plant systems.

• Create piping isometrics and associated engineering design documentation.

• Formulate design recommendations, technical specifications, and packages for design changes.

• Analyze piping system layouts, supports, and modifications for their feasibility, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

• Assist in engineering evaluations linked to plant upgrades, retrofits, and enhancements to systems.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure piping designs align with overall plant systems.

• Examine and clarify technical requirements, plant standards, and project specifications.

• Offer technical assistance during the stages of design development, document formulation, and implementation.

• Ensure that tasks are performed in compliance with nuclear quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is mandatory.

• 5 to 15 years of experience in piping engineering is required.

• Experience in the nuclear sector is a prerequisite.

• A solid piping background with the capability to execute engineering calculations.

• Proven experience in developing isometrics, specifications, and design change documentation.

• Background in supporting modifications to existing power plants and engineering new plant systems.

• Proficient in various engineering and analysis software systems.

• Strong knowledge of piping design principles, system analysis, and engineering documentation practices.

• Capability to operate within a regulated engineering environment with stringent documentation requirements.
