This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create, develop, and sustain production tools and pipeline solutions for Autodesk Maya.
• Design tools, plugins, and automation scripts in Python to enhance artist productivity.
• Work closely with artists, supervisors, and production teams to identify workflow enhancements and offer technical solutions.
• Connect Maya with internal pipeline tools, asset management systems, and render farm infrastructure.
• Assist with publishing, versioning, referencing, caching, and scene management processes.
• Identify and resolve technical issues affecting artists and the production workflow.
• Create and maintain APIs and tools that integrate with DCC applications and the studio's proprietary software.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code in line with the studio's development standards.
• Proven experience in developing production tools for Autodesk Maya within a VFX or animation studio.
• Strong expertise in Python programming.
• Familiarity with the Maya Python API (maya.cmds and OpenMaya).
• Experience in creating custom tools, user interfaces, and automation solutions for Maya.
• Knowledge of Git or another version control system.
• Proficient in working with Linux environments and command-line tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
