This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, isometric drawings, spool sheets, P&IDs, and project specifications.
• Strategize installation sequencing and coordinate tasks to prevent conflicts with other trades.
• Choose suitable pipe materials and sizes according to project specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and assemble piping using both hand and power tools.
• Design and install piping systems made of carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, and other materials.
• Fit, align, and secure piping systems prior to welding or mechanical joining.
• Connect piping using methods such as threading, soldering, brazing, fusing, cementing, or welding.
• Install pipe supports, including hangers, brackets, clamps, and restraints, in compliance with codes.
• Assist welders with pipe preparation, alignment, and fit-up tasks.
• Install and maintain mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, meters, and controls.
• Conduct hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing utilizing the appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Inspect worksites for obstructions and confirm structural integrity.
• Ensure that work adheres to applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Keep tools and equipment in safe, operational condition.
• Comply with OSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, inspectors, and other tradespeople.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pipefitter in commercial or industrial mechanical construction.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and P&IDs.
• Strong abilities in measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling diverse piping systems.
• Experience with HVAC, hydronic, refrigeration, and/or process piping systems.
• Knowledge of piping codes, installation standards, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Capable of performing basic math calculations and executing layout work accurately.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
• Ability to lift weights exceeding 50 pounds.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• OSHA 10 certification is requested upon application.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and emergency callouts.
• Availability for travel to various job sites.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; proof of eligibility will be required upon hiring.
