Physician – Virtual Primary Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and identify patient needs and presenting symptoms through phone or video consultations.

• Review and verify patient medical history, current medications, health conditions, and allergies.

• Order laboratory tests, imaging studies, and/or refer patients to in-person specialists when further evaluation is required.

• Interpret lab and imaging results and effectively communicate the next steps to the patient during follow-up appointments.

• Prescribe medications as necessary; transition brand-name medications to more affordable generic alternatives when clinically appropriate.*

• Support patients in managing chronic issues and provide guidance on lifestyle practices such as proper nutrition, exercise, and stress management.

• Maintain precise patient records and encounter notes.

• Function as part of a healthcare team to ensure patients receive timely and efficient care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board certification in family or internal medicine is required.

• Active licenses to practice in at least 5-10 states are preferred.

• Willingness to obtain licenses in additional states as needed.

• Availability to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week to First Stop Health.

• A strong desire to leverage technology to enhance access to and affordability of healthcare.

• Enjoy building trust and rapport with patients and nurturing those relationships over time.
