This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Provide exceptional, patient-focused, virtual-first primary care services to individuals throughout the United States via video consultations, live chat, and secure messaging.
• Perform thorough virtual evaluations, diagnoses, and evidence-informed treatment plans for patients of diverse ages and backgrounds.
• Oversee and coordinate care for chronic health conditions.
• Deliver preventive care, wellness counseling, and health education to foster overall well-being.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests along with lab results.
• Prescribe medications in alignment with both state and federal regulations.
• Manage referrals and prior authorizations effectively.
• Complete administrative responsibilities including documenting tasks and communications within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Fulfill compliance, continuing medical education (CME), and licensing responsibilities promptly.
• Stay current with clinical knowledge and best practices.
• Engage in clinical quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Meet or surpass established performance metrics related to patient satisfaction, documentation accuracy, response times, clinical quality standards, and productivity benchmarks.
• Act as a collaborating physician for assigned Nurse Practitioners, providing guidance and mentorship in accordance with applicable state regulations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality protocols.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• An MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
• A current, unrestricted medical license with active board certification in Family Medicine.
• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience following residency; experience in telehealth is highly desirable.
• An active/unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in South Carolina is ***required***.
• Active medical licenses in at least one of the following states: CA, TX, or FL, along with 5 additional state licenses.
• Strong preference for eligibility for expedited licensure via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) in 5 additional states.
• Willingness to acquire additional state licenses as necessary.
• Availability to work on weekends and designated holidays as part of the regular schedule.
• A strong grasp of regulatory and documentation requirements concerning physician collaboration and supervision of Advanced Practice Providers.
• Capability to work independently while handling a high volume of patient interactions through video and chat.
• Proficiency in navigating telehealth platforms and EMR systems, with adaptability to advancing technology, including AI-driven tools and digital platforms.
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage time effectively in a remote work setting; reliable high-speed internet access is mandatory.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient engagement abilities.
