Physician Reviewer – Psychiatry, Utilization Review

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Evaluate medical records to assess the medical necessity of provided services

• Apply state-specific workers’ compensation guidelines alongside nationally accepted criteria

• Deliver clear, concise, and well-supported determinations

• Conduct reviews within designated timeframes (generally 1–5 business days)

• Engage in peer-to-peer discussions as required (arranged by Dane Street)

• Prepare addenda when new information becomes available

⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certification in Psychiatry

• Active, unrestricted medical license in New York

• Certification from the Workers’ Compensation Board (New York)

• Current involvement in clinical practice
