This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations, create treatment and management plans, provide direct care, including ordering laboratory tests, imaging, procedures, referrals, and prescriptions, while closely collaborating with local clinicians to ensure evidence-based cancer care.

• Work alongside Color's primary care team to evaluate patients with cancer screening abnormalities and facilitate cancer diagnoses.

• Establish guideline-based oncology and symptom management plans, identify the best treatment locations, and initiate referrals to suitable local care teams for evaluation and treatment.

• Educate patients on guideline-based cancer treatment options, including clinical trials and the associated risks and benefits, prepare them for local appointments, and support them in clinical decision-making.

• Evaluate and manage oncology and treatment-related symptoms and complications, as appropriate for a virtual environment.

• Create clinical protocols and best practices for care delivery in close collaboration with other Color clinicians and cross-functional team members (e.g., Care Advocates, Nurses, High-Risk Counselors).

• Deliver compassionate and empathetic care, fostering strong, trust-based relationships with patients.

• Engage in care team sessions to track patient progress, provide updates, and collaborate on targeted support strategies.

• Keep thorough and detailed documentation of patient encounters.


⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO, fellowship-trained and board-certified in Medical Oncology.

• Active state medical license in good standing, with a willingness to obtain licensure in all 50 states.

• At least 2 years of independent oncology-related clinical practice experience following fellowship.

• Extensive expertise across various cancers.

• Friendly and compassionate demeanor, with a passion for helping patients thrive.

• Profound understanding of and motivation to address the care gaps faced by cancer patients and their caregivers at every treatment stage.

• Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered, high-quality care.

• Effective collaborator with a team-oriented mindset.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing empathy and active listening.

• High ethical standards and professionalism.

• Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to multitask and excel in fast-paced settings.

• Proficient telehealth skills, including patient care via video and audio, asynchronous messaging, and the use of electronic health records and digital telehealth tools.

• Preferred: Licensure in a state participating in the IMLC.

• Preferred: Experience working with cross-functional technical and operations teams.
