Physician, Addiction Medicine – On-Call

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients

• Create personalized treatment strategies

• Administer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) through telehealth

• Offer exceptional direct clinical care within the fully remote Addiction Medicine program

• Provide virtual, patient-focused, evidence-based treatment for those with substance use disorders

• Independently manage a varied patient caseload

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the care team

• Offer on-call support Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

⛳️ Requirements

• Residency in Hawaii is mandatory

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution

• Possession of a current, unrestricted medical license to practice in Hawaii

• DEA registration and Hawaii NED license required

• At least 1 year of clinical experience in addiction medicine, psychiatry, or a related area, including telehealth experience

• Familiarity with evidence-based addiction treatment methods, including pharmacotherapy and behavioral therapies

• Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for addiction and mental health issues

• Competence with electronic health records (EHR) systems, telehealth video applications, and other digital health resources

• Ability to work independently while managing a diverse patient caseload in a remote environment

• Dedication to patient-centered care, cultural sensitivity, and addressing health disparities

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality principles

• Preferred: Board Certification or Eligibility in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Addiction Medicine
