PHP Laravel Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and oversee customer projects that cater to millions of users each day.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and architects.

• Develop robust and scalable backend solutions utilizing modern PHP frameworks, especially Laravel.

• Design and implement REST APIs (occasionally GraphQL) using domain-driven design principles.

• Conduct regular code reviews and contribute to establishing best practices within the team.

• Monitor application performance and gather insights through APM tools.

• Write and maintain thorough tests leveraging Laravel's built-in testing capabilities (PHPUnit and PEST).

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant professional experience in PHP backend development at an enterprise level.

• Strong proficiency in Laravel (or similar modern frameworks like Symfony) and the core concepts of the framework, including dependency injection.

• Experience in schema design and software modeling.

• Expertise in writing automated tests (PHPUnit, Pest).

• Familiarity with HTTP REST/RPC interfaces and API documentation formats (Swagger/OpenAPI).

• Experience with project management tools (e.g. Linear or Notion).

• A solid understanding of web security principles and common vulnerabilities.

• Extensive experience with local development environments based on Docker (and Laravel Sail).
