This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Delivering an outstanding customer service experience daily in a phone-centric environment.
• Managing a high volume of incoming calls from current patients while acting as an ExactCare expert to address their inquiries.
• Conducting outbound calls to patients to establish, maintain, or update their medication profiles.
• Effectively resolving patient inquiries over the phone.
• Navigating current case queues to address patient care issues efficiently.
• Acting as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals on behalf of patients.
• Executing claim adjudication and auditing responsibilities, including prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility checks.
• Engaging in outbound communications with patients.
• Collecting outstanding patient balances when applicable.
• Maintaining patient records with meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Applying comprehensive drug knowledge to effectively manage prescription authorizations, clarifications, or transfers.
• Accurately retrieving all prescription information and verifying through physician communications.
• Entering a significant volume of data; processing prescription information with both speed and precision.
• Conducting welcome calls to newly onboarded patients to establish a reliable point of contact.
• Collaborating with technicians and pharmacists to ensure successful onboarding of new patients to ExactCare.
• Performing in a high-volume, fast-paced environment to support ExactCare’s nationwide patient community.
• Upholding AnewHealth’s Core Values in all communications and interactions.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) and maintenance of a current certificate.
• Must hold a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Comfortable in a phone-based work setting.
• Ability to work independently.
• Self-driven and goal-oriented.
• Exceptional customer service abilities; addressing the needs of doctor's offices, pharmacists, and patients over the phone.
• Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceuticals.
• Knowledge of pharmacy billing processes.
• Familiarity with the correct procedures for taking prescriptions, clarifications, and transfers, ensuring clear written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in utilizing computer equipment, technology, and navigating multiple software applications to manage medication authorizations, clarifications, and/or transfers.
• Strong prioritization and organizational capabilities.
• Commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
• A passion for helping others and enhancing their lives.
• Ability to manage objections effectively.
• Capacity to think critically and document relevant details in a manner that complies with state and federal regulations.
