This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Comprehend and comply with the National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual.
• Promote a culture that motivates team members to work safely, recognize potential hazards, and promptly report safety concerns to their immediate chain of command.
• Maintain active participation within the agency’s platforms, including learning management systems, to complete training aimed at self-improvement, mission-specific objectives, or Just-In-Time (JIT) training.
• Administer assigned pharmacy services for the service population as prescribed by an advanced practice provider or physician, while implementing best practice guidelines, including but not limited to medication inventory, storage, distribution, and documentation.
• Effectively communicate with healthcare providers regarding the care of the service population and act as a liaison between pharmacy and medical staff.
• Ensure sufficient inventory of all medications and supplies, verifying that they are within expiration dates and stored properly.
• Properly dispose of all unused and expired medications in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain electronic and paper medical healthcare records as determined by events or deployments.
• Create and uphold an accurate medication administration record (MAR) for each client.
• Assist in daily MAR audits to ensure proper documentation, reporting any medication errors through the established chain of command.
• Compile daily medical lists and distribute them to all designated staff members.
• Maintain first aid kits according to licensing standards, if applicable.
• Aid in the medication intake and discharge process in conjunction with other medical personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must possess a nationally accredited Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
• Current certification is mandatory, and eligibility to work nationwide is required.
• Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of CPhT experience in either a hospital or community pharmacy is required.
• Completion of ICS 100 – Introduction to Incident Command Systems.
• Completion of ICS 200 – ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents.
• Completion of ICS 700 – National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) and Introduction.
• Completion of ICS 800 – National Response Framework, An Introduction.
• *Completion of ICS 300 – Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents is required upon hire.
• *Completion of ICS 400 – Advanced ICS Command and General Staff – Complex Incidents is required upon hire.
