Pharmacy Call Center Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Advocate for the safe, proper use, storage, and distribution of medications.

• Offer consultative services and clinical expertise to assess and enhance medication utilization and therapeutic results.

• Foster ongoing enhancements within the pharmacy's scope of practice.

• Manage orders and prescriptions for medications and pharmaceutical supplies.

• Provide guidance to physicians, healthcare personnel, residents, and patients regarding safe medication administration.

• Adhere to and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to medication safety, regulatory compliance, quality standards, and adherence.

• Direct the daily operations of pharmacy technicians and/or residents.

• Execute other assigned or requested duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.

• A valid Tennessee Pharmacist license from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy is mandatory.

• A Mississippi Pharmacist license from the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy is preferred.

• Capability to comprehend and interpret complex written materials and technical documents.

• Proficiency in balancing multiple priorities and collaborating effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

• Competence in using information systems and operating automated and technical pharmacy equipment.

• Ability to work autonomously while exercising sound judgment and initiative.

• Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and workflow organization.

• Capacity to respond promptly to emergency situations, including on-call availability.

• Ability to perform medium work, lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. frequently.

• Frequent contact with patients, both invasive and non-invasive.

• Comfort working in environments with patient body fluids and hazardous or toxic materials.
