This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wyoming.
• Provide coverage in short-term, surge, and on-demand situations arising from military needs.
• Deliver a comprehensive range of personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families at military installations.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions, briefings, presentations, or offer referral resources as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure that the program effectively addresses the needs of the installation.
• Create and distribute informative financial materials for service members and their families.
• Organize, promote, and conduct a diverse array of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Candidates with a high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may also be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is required.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess fluency in English.
• If required by the contract, candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is necessary.
• Candidates must successfully pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• One of the following certifications is required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
