Personal Financial Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer support in short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios for military personnel and their families.

• Deliver a comprehensive range of personal financial counseling services, including individualized counseling, briefings, and presentations.

• Collaborate closely with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure the program meets the needs of service members.

• Create and distribute informational financial resources for service members and their families.

• Organize and facilitate Personal Financial Management classes/workshops on various topics relevant to the military lifecycle.

• Employ virtual counseling or electronic communication methods as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• Applicants with an associate degree and 4 years of experience may be considered in place of a bachelor’s degree.

• Applicants with a high school diploma and 6 years of experience may also be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is necessary.

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens and proficient in English.

• If specified by the contract, candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

• Ability to pass a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is required.

• One of the following certifications is necessary: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
