This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana.
• Provide coverage during short-term, surge, and on-demand situations related to military needs.
• Deliver personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assist service members in creating a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials for service members and their families.
• Coordinate, promote, and conduct a diverse array of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) protocols.
• Communicate with leadership and engage in regular supervision.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Applicants with an associate degree and 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
• Candidates with a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant experience may also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience is necessary.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess fluent English speaking skills.
• If required by the contract, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is necessary.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is required.
• Must successfully pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• One of the following certifications is required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
