This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Provide assistance during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military requirements.
• Deliver personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families.
• Educate and advise on financial services through one-on-one counseling sessions, consultations, and informational briefings.
• Organize and facilitate Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
• Handle duty to warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) protocols.
• Engage with leadership and take part in regular supervision and quality enhancement committees.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Applicants with an associate degree and four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Applicants with a high school diploma and six years of relevant experience may also be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of three years of financial counseling experience is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess fluent English language skills.
• If mandated by the contract, proficiency in both English and Spanish is necessary.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is required.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• One of the following certifications is required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
