Personal Financial Counselor, Assignment Ready Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from Military requirements, such as post-deployment events or to substitute for counselors who are unavailable.

• Key responsibilities encompass a comprehensive range of personal financial counseling services for military personnel and their families at military bases.

• Services include education and counseling related to financial services.

• Collaborate closely with Points of Contact (POC) from the installation and military branch.

• Deliver personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.

• Assist service members in creating a spending plan for extended absences.

• Create and distribute informational financial resources to service members and their families.

• Organize, promote, and conduct a diverse array of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• Consideration may be given to candidates with an associate degree combined with 4 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

• Candidates with a high school diploma and 6 years of experience may also be considered instead of a bachelor's degree.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is required.

• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess fluent English speaking skills.

• If required by the contract, candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

• Must be able to successfully complete a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.

• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.

• Candidates must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
