Personal Financial Counselor, Assignment Ready Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Deliver coverage during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios resulting from military requirements.

• Offer personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families at various military installations.

• Organize, promote, and conduct a diverse array of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.

• Employ virtual counseling or other electronic communication methods.

• Engage with leadership and take part in regular individual and group supervision sessions.

• Handle duty to warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• Applicants with an associate degree and 4 years of experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.

• Those with a high school diploma and 6 years of experience may also be considered as an alternative to a bachelor's degree.

• Minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience is required.

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens and fluent in English.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required if specified by the contract.

• Ability to achieve a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is necessary.

• Candidates must successfully pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.

• An accredited certification is required, such as Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
