This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Take charge of designing and overseeing the effectiveness of the continuous performance management system.
• Define the three key dimensions (results / skills and AI integration / teamwork), along with their respective weights, scales, and thresholds for progression between A, B, and C.
• Identify the sources of data for each dimension (e.g., Notion, Slack, GitHub).
• Develop the monthly cycle, detailing what operates automatically and how each individual can view their performance grade and track progress.
• Create personalized dashboards for monitoring performance and grades, while offering templates for individual development plans.
• Execute a pilot program focusing on two competencies, gather feedback, refine the approach, and implement it across the entire team.
• You have experience in developing performance systems for teams ranging from 30 to 150 individuals, preferably in product startups at late Seed or Series A stages.
• You grasp the distinctions between performance management in a conventional organization and within a small team. If your background is solely with Fortune 500 companies, this may not be the right opportunity for you.
• You are proficient with data. You possess skills in Excel, SQL, and the Notion API that enable you to build prototypes independently without relying on an analyst.
• Experience in creating grading systems, conducting talent reviews, or utilizing a 9-box framework is advantageous. Additionally, the ability to transform a manual Excel process into an automated system is a significant plus.
• Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Russian is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Compensation: a fixed project fee supplemented by a bonus linked to the successful completion of defined objectives (v1 live and achieving an adoption rate of 80% or higher one month post-launch). The specific amount will be discussed during the interview. The benchmark aligns with the market rate for senior People Ops consultants.
• Format: work trial. The initial 2 weeks will serve as a paid pilot focused on one competency. If the collaboration is successful, we will proceed to the full scope of work.
• Contract type: B2B or equivalent, contingent on your location.
