Performance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Analyze production and weather data through Power BI dashboards, internal monitoring systems, and Snowflake data tables to identify underperformance.

• Collaborate with Regional Asset Managers (RAMs) to address and resolve reported issues.

• Onboard new sites into the analytics ecosystem digitally and ensure configurations are validated.

• Track sub-inverter-level performance across the fleet to identify issues and emerging trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of advanced experience in commercial and utility solar monitoring utilizing DAS/SCADA platforms (experience with AlsoEnergy or Power Factors is highly preferred, excluding residential platforms like Enphase and SolarEdge that do not provide the electrical production details necessary for advanced analysis).

• Comprehensive understanding of solar performance metrics including Performance Ratio, availability, capacity factor, insolation, degradation, and inverter-level diagnostics.

• Proven ability to analyze production and weather data to recognize underperformance, differentiate between equipment problems and environmental factors, and quantify energy losses.

• Experience in reading and interpreting PVSyst models, pro-forma energy projections, single-line diagrams, and string layout drawings.

• At least 1 year of experience with Power BI is preferred.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft suite.

• Excellent command of written English; able to produce clear and professional summaries of issues and email communications.

• Demonstrated critical thinking skills: capable of examining a dataset and identifying issues independently.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in addressing problems before they escalate.
