This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assess the current automotive shop practices of members and suggest enhancements based on ATI's best practices and methodologies.
• Provide coaching, consultation, training, and mentorship to independent repair shop owners to help them reach their business objectives.
• Assist members in navigating ATI’s 48-month re-engineering initiative and alumni programs.
• Understand the needs of shop owners and support them in creating profitable and efficient businesses.
• Engage with members through phone calls, Zoom meetings, and email correspondence.
• Analyze financial statements, assess competitors, and evaluate business operations.
• Create business models or recommendations and present them to clients.
• Achieve or surpass ATI targets, including client return on investment and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
• Ensure customer satisfaction while tracking performance and progress through report cards and road maps.
• Conduct weekly client interactions and guarantee attendance of clients and staff in classes.
• Monitor the program status of members and align their requirements with available support resources.
• Finalize startup agreements, coach-client agreements, and document weekly call notes.
• Contribute research and content for articles, educational materials, and training resources.
• Take part in coaches meetings, company meetings, one-on-one sessions, ATI classes, peer groups, performance groups, podcasts, owner events, presentations, and trade shows.
• Attend shop owner dinner events, the annual SuperConference, industry-related events, and mandatory monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual company meetings.
• Efficiently manage calendar and time.
• At least 10 years of overall experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong emphasis on service writing, shop management, operations management, or prior shop ownership.
• Preferably experience in the independent, non-dealer aftermarket sector.
• Experience in operations management, ideally with an aftermarket chain, involving established internal systems and processes.
• Outstanding coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of automotive business operations.
• Capability to influence others via telephone and video conferencing.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience teaching, instructing, and mentoring small business owners or staff.
• Clear insight into the challenges faced by independent shop owners.
• Proven track record in consultative management, staff development, and business administration.
• Previous success in an environment with monthly performance goals.
• Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is an advantage.
• Strong sales skills are highly preferred.
• Experience in accounting or P&L management.
• Background in marketing and online/social media strategies.
• Exceptional writing skills; interest in article writing is a plus.
• Solid understanding of recruiting and retaining high-quality personnel.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive abilities.
• Ability to motivate business owners to implement significant changes and paradigm shifts.
