This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Evaluate the current practices of automotive shop members and propose enhancements aligned with ATI best practices and methodologies.
• Guide, mentor, and advise members to help them realize their business aspirations.
• Assist members in navigating ATI’s 48-month re-engineering and alumni programs.
• Understand the needs of shop owners and support them in constructing profitable and efficient businesses.
• Engage with members through phone, Zoom, and email communications.
• Analyze financial statements, assess competitors, and review business practices.
• Create new business models or formulate and deliver recommendations to clients.
• Achieve or surpass ATI objectives, including client return on investment, CSI scores, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Maintain performance monitoring tools such as report cards and road maps.
• Conduct weekly client interactions and ensure attendance for clients and staff classes.
• Track member program status and align their needs with their desires.
• Complete necessary paperwork including startup agreements, coach-client contracts, and concise weekly notes.
• Provide research and content for articles, classroom materials, and training resources.
• Participate in weekly Coaches meetings, company meetings, one-on-ones, ATI classes, peer/performance groups, podcasts, owner events, industry presentations, and trade shows.
• Attend dinner events for shop owners, the annual SuperConference, industry-related gatherings, as well as required monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual company meetings.
• Manage your calendar and time effectively.
• At least 10 years of comprehensive automotive experience.
• Strong emphasis on service writing, shop management, operations management, or prior shop ownership.
• Experience in the independent, non-dealer aftermarket sector is preferred.
• Operations management experience ideally within an aftermarket chain with established internal structures and processes.
• Outstanding coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Strong grasp of automotive business principles.
• Capacity to influence others via telephone and videoconferencing.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in teaching, instructing, and mentoring small business owners or their employees.
• Clear awareness of the challenges faced by independent shop owners.
• Proven history in consultative management, personnel development, and business management.
• Previous success in an organization that sets monthly targets.
• Proficiency with computers, especially in Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is advantageous.
• Strong sales skills are preferred.
• Experience in accounting or P&L management.
• Background in marketing and online/social media strategies.
• Writing proficiency and a desire to contribute articles to industry publications is a plus.
• A robust understanding of recruiting and retaining top-quality employees.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills.
• Ability to persuade business owners to implement significant changes and paradigm shifts.
• A professional personal image that is appropriate for the role.
