People Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Implement systems and logistics that enhance Overflow's employee experience — encompassing onboarding, recognition, and offboarding.

• Collaborate with the Head of People to align HR policies with initiatives aimed at improving the employee experience.

• Assist in the creation and execution of people policies and infrastructure throughout the entire employee lifecycle — including recruiting operations, onboarding, systems management, benefits administration, terminations, and offboarding.

• Oversee employee status and manage supporting data through Notion and Gusto.

• Ensure accurate internal tracking within the employee database.

• Carry out the culture onboarding program.

• Facilitate recognition programs that integrate gratitude into daily practices.

• Oversee staff gifting and celebrations using Bonusly.

• Organize performance-focused and staff development events led by the Head of People.

• Manage and maintain the People Team budget with regular oversight.

• Ensure the IT infrastructure across office locations operates effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in People Operations, HR execution, recruiting, and/or employee engagement roles.

• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

• Capability to design systems that strike a balance between structure and human-centered care.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leaders to implement people systems.
