This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +20 more states.
• Act as a reliable point of contact for employee relations issues, workplace challenges, and conflict resolution, utilizing sound judgment, empathy, and discretion.
• Conduct and assist with employee relations investigations, addressing issues related to workplace behavior, harassment, discrimination, and policy breaches; gather necessary documentation, perform interviews, summarize findings, and formulate recommendations.
• Provide guidance to managers on handling difficult discussions, performance issues, and corrective actions, ensuring the consistent and fair application of policies.
• Ensure the maintenance of precise and confidential employee relations records, collaborating with People & Culture leadership and legal counsel on complex or escalated issues.
• Analyze trends and root causes from employee relations activities and propose enhancements to policies, training, or processes.
• Oversee the engagement survey lifecycle, including pulse surveys, annual engagement assessments, and stay and exit interviews, translating insights into clear, prioritized action plans with leadership.
• Develop and implement recognition, milestone, and connection programs that reinforce our core values and enhance community among a distributed workforce.
• Manage the performance review process comprehensively, encompassing goal setting, mid-year and annual evaluations, calibration discussions, timelines, reminders, and HRIS documentation.
• Guide managers on providing clear, actionable feedback; establishing meaningful goals; acknowledging strong performance; and addressing performance challenges with consistency and empathy.
• Evaluate performance, engagement, retention, and turnover trends to identify organizational requirements, uncover patterns, and recommend solutions that enhance employee experience, manager effectiveness, and overall organizational wellness.
• Over 6 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to employee relations or HR business partner roles.
• Proven experience in conducting workplace investigations and managing delicate employee relations issues with sound judgment and discretion.
• Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws as well as HR compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, including experience in supporting internal communications and leadership coaching.
• Strong project management, organizational, and change management capabilities.
• Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (such as TriNet, ADP, UKG, Greenhouse, Lever, or other similar platforms).
