Peer Support Specialist, Bilingual Preferred

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist individuals in formulating attainable and measurable objectives to track success and inspire behavioral transformation.

• Deliver on-platform behavioral health services to children and adolescents utilizing the service.

• Facilitate structured Wellness Coaching encompassing prevention, wellness promotion, and psychoeducation through organized coaching sessions.

• Engage in care coordination and case management.

• Provide Behavioral Health and Wellness Coaching interventions.

• Create personalized care plans to effectively establish goals and develop action plans for positive behavioral alterations.

• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

• Enhance positive mental health by addressing the factors that contribute to it.

• Reduce mental health issues by tackling the determinants of such problems.

• Collaborate with users to identify their areas of concern, recognize barriers, and formulate a strategy to reach their wellness objectives.

• Perform screenings and assessments, including mental health and wellness evaluations, as well as monitoring progress.

• Recognize individual users who are experiencing or are at risk of social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges.

• Moderate content submitted by service users in accordance with policies and procedures.

• Facilitate warm handoffs by communicating with users and healthcare providers as necessary.

• Participate in and contribute effectively to clinical supervision, training, and team meetings.

• Keep precise records in compliance with Kooth’s policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• National Certified Peer Specialist.

• Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist.

• At least 6 months of experience in providing peer-to-peer support services, either through work or volunteer activities.

• Current state certification with a minimum training requirement of 40 hours.

• Must permanently reside within the contiguous 48 states of the US.

• Bilingual in Spanish is an advantage.
