This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Assist in the rollout of a new payroll software solution, primarily focusing on Finnish payroll.
• Play a role in enhancing payroll systems and optimizing processes.
• Oversee the integration of payroll data between Workday and external payroll systems/providers (Mepco system).
• Work closely with the new payroll provider to facilitate a seamless transition and promptly address any issues.
• Update and enhance the Payroll Playbook, serving as the main resource for payroll processes and controls.
• Offer daily support to the payroll team during the monthly payroll cycle.
• Assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring adherence to local tax regulations and company policies.
• Generate payroll reports, conduct reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
• Track payroll schedules and confirm that all necessary data is submitted within set deadlines.
• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, HR, and Finance with professionalism and a customer-focused approach.
• Keep payroll documentation current to meet audit and compliance standards.
• Create regular and one-off payroll reports.
• Engage in internal and external audits.
• Remain informed about changes in payroll legislation and best practices across Europe.
• At least 3 years of payroll experience, including practical experience with Finnish payroll and exposure to other European countries.
• Experience in supporting payroll software implementations, transitions, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of payroll-related accounting, taxation, and compliance matters.
• Familiarity with external payroll providers and payroll systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Exceptional analytical abilities, keen attention to detail, and capacity to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
