Payments Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Integrate various payment service providers (PSPs) including cards, bank transfers, cryptocurrency, and local methods into the payment portal.

• Develop and oversee deposit and withdrawal processes from start to finish.

• Design and utilize PSP APIs, webhooks, and callback handlers.

• Implement transaction routing, status monitoring, and reconciliation processes.

• Manage payment states, retries, and handle failures or edge cases effectively.

• Ensure secure management of payment data and adherence to compliance standards (PCI DSS).

• Maintain and oversee existing PSP connections, addressing any integration challenges.

• Collaborate with PSPs and internal teams during the onboarding and testing phases.

• Create reporting and logging systems for payment operations and troubleshooting.

• Assist in anti-fraud, anti-money laundering (AML), and know your customer (KYC) checks within payment processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive backend engineering experience, with a focus on APIs and integrations.

• Demonstrated experience in integrating PSPs or payment gateways.

• Strong grasp of payment processes, webhooks, and transaction lifecycles.

• Familiarity with PCI DSS and secure financial data handling practices.

• Experience with reconciliation, idempotency, and error-handling methodologies.

• Background in fintech, payments, or forex/CFD brokerage is preferred.

• Keen attention to reliability, security, and detail.
