Patient Support Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Exhibits a positive demeanor and fosters strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and visitors.

• Consistently meets a target of 90% for both incoming and outgoing calls.

• Schedules patients in accordance with Best Practice Scheduling guidelines as trained.

• Precisely records conversations in patients’ electronic medical records.

• Verifies the appropriate insurance(s) for patients when necessary.

• Confirms and updates patient demographic data during each visit, including Name, DOB, Phone Number, and Insurance.

• Upholds and protects the privacy and dignity of patients’ information to ensure confidentiality.

• Comprehends and adheres to the Code of Conduct, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.

• Meets the performance and skill metrics associated with the role, which may change over time.

• Efficiently manages a high volume of calls.

• Adheres to communication 'scripts' when addressing various topics.

• Utilizes active listening and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues.

• Understands the use of disposition codes.

• Executes all other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in telemarketing, call centers, or sales.

• At least one year of experience in a medical environment.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.

• Exceptional customer service skills over the phone.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Team-oriented mindset.

• Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple priorities.

• Familiarity with medical terminology.

• Proficient in electronic health records and computer literacy.

• Ability to navigate between several computer programs/screens while assisting patients over the phone.

• Basic math skills are necessary.

• Must be able to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

• Adherence to safe work practices in a clinical environment.

• Capable of following through on delegated tasks.
