This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Acts as the key point of contact for all bed requests from various entry points.
• Effectively communicates intricate clinical information related to admission status and bed availability to facilities, physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff in a timely and suitable manner.
• Utilizes Teletracking to make suitable bed assignments for all standard bed requests, employing the patient placement matrix.
• Ranks bed assignments according to the urgency of the requests.
• Oversees Teletracking for bed requests, bed availability, and both anticipated and confirmed discharges.
• Keeps track of prolonged or pending inpatient bed requests to either cancel or update admission requests.
• Receives phone inquiries and communicates or escalates complex placements and calls to the Patient Flow nurse.
• Collaborates with the Patient Flow nurse to manage direct admissions and out-of-network admissions.
• Reviews the Emergency department's volume and surgery schedule to monitor changes in patient status and estimated arrivals.
• Proven experience in customer service roles.
• Demonstrated experience within the medical field.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems independently.
• Capability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Proficient in functioning effectively within a team setting.
• Self-motivated and directed individual.
• Background in medical terminology is preferred.
