This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Lead the coordination of support throughout the entire patient treatment process, collaborating with healthcare professionals, specialty pharmacies, care sites, payers, and internal teams to remove obstacles to care.
• Oversee intricate reimbursement cases that require exceptions, including handling escalations for benefit verifications, prior authorizations, appeals, and reauthorizations.
• Deliver thorough insurance and financial education to patients, caregivers, and provider offices, covering topics such as coverage options, co-pay assistance, and patient support programs.
• Utilize independent judgment to customize conversations and personalized interventions while maintaining compliance with established guidelines.
• Leverage digital tools, patient insights, and essential performance metrics to continuously enhance outcomes.
• Identify, document, and report Potential Adverse Events (PAEs) in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare or reimbursement.
• A strong commitment to supporting patients and facilitating access to medications.
• Extensive knowledge of access and reimbursement, including a solid understanding of the healthcare system and its stakeholders.
• Experience in navigating healthcare provider offices, insurance coverage, prior authorizations, specialty pharmacies, and financial assistance programs.
• Capability to thrive in a digital-first environment.
• Preferred: experience in supporting complex specialty therapeutics such as oncology, rare diseases, or biologics.
• Strong critical thinking and empathetic communication skills for addressing patient access challenges.
• Ability to inform healthcare provider staff about access support programs in a compliant and strictly non-promotional way.
• Familiarity with operational metrics such as Time to Treatment, Cost per Interaction, and Patient CSAT.
• Full-time remote work available within a 100-mile radius of Overland Park, KS/Kansas City, MO.
