This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Tasked with performing a variety of responsibilities to enhance the revenue cycle, ensure compliance, and improve patient experience by effectively and accurately executing duties in registration, financial screening, verification, and patient throughput.
• This role involves achieving individual collection targets.
• Fosters a strong collaboration with all clinical team members to guarantee a smooth and positive experience for both patients and caregivers.
• This position is deemed essential, requiring the ability to work as necessary on weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations.
• The role may involve the distribution of legal, ethical, and compliance-related documents that must be presented and thoroughly explained to patients at the time of registration.

• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or Experience.
• An Associate's Degree is preferred.
• Completion and passing of the Patient Access training course is required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced public health environment or Revenue Cycle setting, with proven experience in payment collection, including billing, sales, and customer service.
• In the absence of a degree and/or experience, a highly motivated individual must demonstrate and/or role-play the necessary skills professionally and convincingly to excel in the role.
• Competence in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Detail-oriented, organized, team player with compassion, outstanding customer service, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain an agile mindset.
• Desired: Familiarity with healthcare regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to, HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, etc.
• Understanding of insurance contracts, collection processes, authorizations, pre-certifications, Microsoft Office products, and EMR applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.
